yes, i agree with you. But passing such kind of comment is so childish. i meant that And most of the Indians have their own food habits and prefer to get the supplies from their country. i haven't read his statement as yet, but your post has encouraged me to research this.

Unfortunately, yes. But if pickles and masalas if they are taken moderation and especially added with garlic are ok since garlic lessens cholesterol by increasing HDL. And the oils used in pickles, unless they are saturated oils, are also good in small quantities. To tell you anything in moderation is fine. Coming to the western food we have more dangers lurking in the red meat, animal skin, unbalanced margarine spreads, hydrogenated oils, etc which are a big NO NO. The hydrogenated oil is found in most of the baked stuff including the yellow of egg.

as far as my personal experience goes, most of the indians still carry excess baggage of pickles, masalas, indian snacks, etc! And literally speaking, do indians like that junk food??!!
